List of Settings and Recommendations to Avoid Corruption

1. Backups - Please ensure that when Backups are run no user is in the application. This will ensure that you create a successful backup which can be used should there be the need.

2. Username - We do not recommend that users share user IDs. Every user should have their own ID which they use to log into Enterprise, also users should only log in once with their user ID.

3. Application changes while users logged into application - If the administrator is performing changes on the application (ie. security, adding accounts, deleting entities) no user should be logged into the application. Example: If users are entering data whilst the administrator deletes accounts the application may corrupt.

4. Anti-Virus - The Anti Virus Software should not be set to run in real time as this might lead to performance issues and may result in corruption in the worst scenario. We do recommend that you perform scheduled scan at the least busiest time. Ensure that the following files are not scanned: *.exa, *.lok, *.use, *.dat

5. Shutdown - We do recommend that all workstations and servers are shut down in the proper manner. This is to ensure that information is written back to the system. If user do not follow these procedures and "end task" out of Enterprise the application may corrupt.

6. Network - We do recommend that the network Enterprise runs on is stable and has enough bandwidth to ensure a constant high performance of Enterprise
Server - The Application Server should be a dedicated Enterprise Server to ensure constant performance. We do not recommend that this server is a PDC or BDC server or used for other purposes.

7. Space - Please ensure that the server and workstation have enough space to run Enterprise properly

Additionally the setting and changes in the Registry and Environment Changes Document should also be applied
