Symptoms

When running the EPM 11.1.2.1 InstallTool.cmd installer, the command prompt window flashes and the installer does not start. Getting the error below:

Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: 11/1/2/1\EPM
Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: 11.1.2.1\EPM

Cause

There is not enough disk space on the drive where EPM 11.1.2.1 is being installed.
Solution

Take the following steps:

1. Clear the disk space on the drive where the 11.1.2.1 installation is performed.
2. Run the InstallTool.cmd file with an option "Run as administrator" (if running it on the Windows Server 2008 / Windows 7). It will initiate the installation without any further errors.
