Applies to:
Hyperion Financial Data Quality Management - Version: 11.1.2.0.00 and later [Release: 11.1 and later ]
Information in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
When choosing Metadata > Control Tables within FDM end users receive the error "Unable to retrieve target system ". The control table would normally return a drop down list of target values from the HFM application.
Cause
The environment contains two FDM application servers. In order for FDM to properly integrate with HFM on both application servers, the HFM adapter must be registered and configured on both application servers in the environment. Currently the adapter is only registered and configured on one of the two application servers.
Solution
The adapters should be unzipped to the Adapters Components or the Shared Components folder on each server and then registered from there.
To register the adapter use the following steps
1. Launch the FDM Workbench
2. Select File-> Register Adapter
3. Browse to the location of the adapter (see above) and select the appropriate file (upsFM11xG5*.dll)
4. Right-Click on the adapter and choose "configure"
5. Enter the FDM Service account username, password, confirm password, and domain and click OK to save the change.
