Goal
The current documentation for Retail Integration Bus (RIB) version 13 outlines that Retail Merchandising System (RMS) version 13 integrates with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Financials (as an external system) but there is no mention on how this occurs. There are external-to-RMS input adaptors in RIB version 13 (e.g., supplier, freight terms) and from what is available on the Oracle Financials side there is a mechanism called the XML Gateway, but there is no description of how these two systems are coupled.

Solution

For integration with Oracle EBS, an Oracle Retail integration accelerator patch is available for download, Patch 7330263. This patch enables the integration between Oracle EBS and some Oracle Retail applications. The hot fix downloads associated with the following defect numbers are required to implement this integration patch:
